Honour for ZAK CEO | Dr. Jean-Jacques Chirikdjian

On November 9th the golden badge of honour of the state of Vienna was awarded to our CEO for special efforts at the Viennese town hall. In the course of an official ceremony Dr. Jean-Jacques Chirikdjian has received the honour for his contribution as a researcher, developer and business owner.

Born in Kairo Dr. Chirikdjian came to Austria in 1957 in order to study pharmacy at the University of Vienna. His work as research assistant and research scientist took him through institutions and companies in Vienna, Linz and Munich. At the age of almost 60 years, upon ending his successful career as pharmacologist, in April 1997 he decided to found a company – ZAK-Pharma Dienstleistung Ges.m.b.H – in Vienna. For more than 20 years now, ZAK is able to offer services in the field of clinical trials and drug regulatory affairs. Though soon becoming 81, Dr. Chirikdjian can be met at the headquarter in Vienna still today and is responsible for supervising all financial agendas.
